History[]

Merchant era[]

After Ukyō finished attending a meeting with his father and the Imperial Envoy, Warya was in the harem chamber sitting on the couch when the young lord returned, prompting her to greet him. Later, she and another woman accompanied Tessai when he tried to convince Ukyō to spend time with one of the harem women instead of seeking out the peasant woman Kirara. When Kanna Village began its battle against the nobuseri, Warya was playing a card game with Ukyō and a couple of women. The young lord joked that he finally got the card he was looking for, making the women chuckle. She continued playing the game as Ukyō ordered Tessai to tell him everything he knew about Kanna Village. Sometime later, Warya was ordered by Ukyō to show their hospitality to the samurai who visited the Kōgakyo citadel. As she watched the imperial guards spar with one another and the samurai, she requested to speak up and informed Ukyō that the women were scared of the samurai. Watching in boredom, he remarked to her that he understood since the samurai acted rather rough. At that point, Ukyō had to leave to speak to the samurai whose help he wanted, so Warya stood next to him as he asked the samurai for forgiveness for his father's decree that imprisoned them.

In due time, Warya also boarded the capital when Ukyō killed the Amanushi and declared himself the new emperor. Using her new position of power within the capital, she ordered Sanae's servants, such as Mizuki, Chiaki and Koharu, to become her servants who would pamper her to make her look presentable to Ukyō. Additionally, she ordered the guards to move Sanae out of her bedroom to make way for the new women's chambers. Warya used her new time to relax and order around the female servants when Kikuchiyo suddenly entered the chamber after Ukyō decreed that the women would be free to leave. Whereas the other women were scared by the machine samurai's presence, Warya was unfazed and informed Kikuchiyo that Sanae was resting in the back. Far later, when Ukyō commenced his full-scale attack on Kanna Village, Warya attempted to evacuate to safety, but Heihachi's controlled demolition of the capital's main engine created a huge explosion, killing several capital residents throughout, including Warya and other concubines.
