Petrel made an appearance in the Pokémon Generations episode The Lake of Rage. He appeared to stop Lance's infiltration of the Team Rocket HQ, although his Weezing was easily defeated by Dragonite. After being backed into a corner, he was soon finished off by a group of recently-rescued Electrode.
