Miranda is the Old Wharf pier master in "Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back".

Miranda is a woman of seasoned age, yet her presence radiates a captivating blend of maturity and youthful vitality. Her fair, unblemished skin serves as a canvas for the wisdom and experiences that have shaped her, while her slender build exudes an effortless poise. Miranda: "Listen to me. The Prophets have predicted the return of the Winds of Water. For years I have prayed that mankind would never witness that deadly storm ever again."
Officer Jenny: "Isn't that just a legend?"
Miranda: "The ancient writings tell of the storm wiping out all but a few Pokémon. In their sorrow, the water of their tears somehow restored the lives lost in the storm. But there are no Pokémon tears today; Just waters which no one can survive."

Miranda, a dedicated individual, served as the pier master at the Old Wharf. She tried to warn the Pokémon trainers that the storm was dangerous and that it would be too life-risking to go to New Island. She also told a somewhat backstory of how the Winds of Water wiped out all but a few Pokémon and their sorrow and tears were able to revive their companions. Some of the trainers refused to listen to her, and Officer Jenny was seen wishing them good luck. At the end of the movie, she was seen with the others after Mewtwo had wiped their memories; she then commented that it was good to have things normal again.
