Herbert Walter Powell (born Herbert Walter Simpson) is Homer Simpson's Half-Sibling and Abe Simpsons illegitimate Son. He was concieved when Abe Simpson has sex with a hooker at the town carnival. He is very rich and owns a car company called Powell Moters in Detroit
Early Life[]
after Abe Simpson had sex with a hooker she became pregnant with Herb. She then put him up for adoption at the shelbyville orphanage. He was then adopted by Edward Powell and Mililani Osler.
Adult Years[]
Homer's car that bankrupted Herb
Herb Powell started his company Powell Moters in Detroit when he was an adult. After Abe Simpson confessed to Homer Simpson that he had a half-brother homer tried desperatley to find a half-brother. He finally found him and called him on the telephone he then arrived at his mansion. Herb Powell ended up spoiling his neice and nephews by taking them to yacths and buying them horses. He became very close With Homer even allowing him to design his own car which eventually led to his downfall. As Homers car ended up being so bad it bankrupted him. Herb ended up holding extreme resentment towards his brother even saying "he has no brother"
Later in the episode "Brother, Can You Spare Two Dimes?" Herb is revealed to be homeless. He caught a train to springfield and tried to track Homer down after he won $2,000. He ended up getting the idea to invent a baby translator. He went to the simpsons house and asked them if he can borrow $2,000 dollars (but not before punching Homer) they ended up being really impressed by his invention and gave him the money and he then became rich again. He then gave the all the family members gifts. Herb forgave homer and gave him a gift too.
