The East Gorteau Shogi Champion was a short obese individual. He had short blonde hair, large lips, freckles around his cheeks, and a mole on the left side of his face. He wore a shirt, pants, and socks.

Little was known about the East Gorteau Shogi Champion's personality, though he was understandably terrified of the King.

Sometime in his life, he became the champion of Shogi in East Gorteau.
Plot[]
Chimera Ant arc[]
The East Gorteau Shogi Champion plays a game of Shogi with the Chimera Ant King and loses. When inquired as to why he did not concede defeat as the match was decided twenty-two moves prior to the end of the game, he gives no response. This prompts the King to sever the Shogi Champion's left ear off.
As the Shogi Champion winces in pain, the King reiterates his inquiry. So in a state of panic, the Shogi Champion tries to flee, however, the king's tail smashes his head to bits in a single swipe, killing him.
