Darren (Japanese: タカシ Takashi) is a minor character of the day. He is a Pokémon Trainer from Cianwood City who competed in the Silver Conference.
In A Claim to Flame!, Darren went up against a Trainer with an Ursaring during the Screening Rounds of the Silver Conference. He defeated the Ursaring with his Donphan, right as Ash, Misty and Brock walked by. He did not have a speaking role in the episode and never appeared in person, but his face appeared on the scoreboard.
It is not known if Darren won or lost his other two battles in the Screening Rounds, and therefore it is not known if he moved on to the next rounds of the Silver Conference.
