Charon brought Medusa to the Earth side of the River Styx at the request of Themis. He took coins from Batman in payment for this task.

The depicted subject bears the likeness of Charon from Greek mythology: however, the DCAU character was never named on-screen, or otherwise. The title of this article is conjecture based on the character's likeness.
