Cade was a clone stormtrooper that served the Galactic Empire. He served aboard Vice Admiral Edmon Rampart's Venator-class Star Destroyer during the attack on Kamino and the bombardment of Tipoca City and was later assassinated when he began to take action to expose Rampart's cover up of the attack.
Biography[]
The clone trooper nicknamed Cade was in service to the Galactic Empire, specifically serving on the planet Kamino in the year 19 BBY. When Vice Admiral Edmon Rampart ordered the destruction of Tipoca City, Cade was aboard Rampart's Venator-class Star Destroyer VZ-114, which participated in the aerial bombardment and destruction of the city. Later, Cade was complicit in the subsequent cover-up that Rampart attempted in order to convince the Imperial Senate that a storm had been responsible for the destruction. Following this, Rampart attempted to pass the Imperial Defense Recruitment Bill, which would phase out the Kaminoan-born clone troopers in the wake of the destruction of the cloning facilities there.
Several months later, Cade was drinking at 79's, a cantina on Coruscant which catered to clone troopers, with fellow clone Slip, who was also present for the Attack on Kamino. Cade announced his intention to whistleblow about the true nature of the operation. Although Slip was not convinced it was the right thing to do, as they had just been following orders, Cade insisted that what they had done was wrong and that it had to be made right.
Cade left the bar, followed by Slip, who warned him about Rampart's unpredictable nature cruelty towards clones. Cade was then killed by Clone X, a clone assassin deployed by Rampart, while Slip was narrowly able to escape on a speeder bike.
Legacy[]
Although Cade's actions convinced Slip to work towards uncovering the truth, Slip was later killed, also by Clone X. However, Slip was first able to contact former Clone Commander Rex, who, along with the help of Clone Force 99, were able to acquire evidence that would be used against Rampart in the Senate.
