Abner is a loyal henchman of the Joker. Even when the Joker was catatonic for decades, Abner had faith he would return. Once the Joker made contact with him, Abner concocted Mind Control Lipstick for him. He also took the initiative to build special breathing filters for when the Joker's Smile Gas was unleashed. During the taping of "The David Endochrine Show," Abner dispatched Bobby and Mary to flood the stage with Smile Gas. During the Fairgrounds battle, Abner pursued Robin up a roller coaster. After she neutralized Mary, Robin was pinned and choked by Abner. Robin knocked him over onto the track's gear belt and his head was smashed in.
